Eric Stewart, our board president, is also Widow Care's founder. Eric has sold real estate since 1987 in the Washington, D.C. metro area, and in his practice has met hundreds of widows. Through these meetings, he has formed personal relationships with many of his clients and developed a sensitivity to the needs and challenges faced by those grieving the loss of a spouse - including the need to connect with fellow widowed "travelers."
Marissa is the Marketing & Outreach Coordinator at Widow Care. She graduated from the University of Maryland Cum Laude with a degree in Marketing. She is a native Marylander from Rockville, MD. She is personally affected by Widowhood as many of her family members are widowed, and she wants to encourage awareness of the issues that many widow(er)s face.
Elisa is a native Washingtonian and third generation realtor. Her past experiences include digital game design and selling technology consulting services.
Elisa graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in Architecture Design, and graduated with honors from the University of Baltimore with a degree in Computer Simulation and Digital Entertainment.
She is the proud mother of a twin son and daughter and a puppy.
Lynn is a research biologist transplanted 20 years ago from southern California. She lost her husband to cancer in 2013 and lives in Silver Spring, MD with two adult daughters and two rescue dogs.
David, a long-time television producer, director and executive, moved with his family to Maryland in 1996 following many years in public television, mostly at WQED in Pittsburgh - home of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood - when he was hired by Discovery Communications.
David received his B.A. in TV/Radio/Film Communications & Psychology from Syracuse University where he met his late wife, Ryna. He is the proud father of two grown daughters, Erica and Alison, and has two grandchildren, Camden and Emily, who are the joy of his life.
Reva is a project manager who has held various leadership positions in the private and public sectors. As a volunteer in her community, she has served as Area Vice President for the Northeast Consortium of the Montgomery County Public Schools and Representative on the Montgomery County Council of PTA's.

At agencies in Washington, D.C. and Boston and as an independent consultant, Gary has been helping organizations for over 25 years to fundraise, expand their donor base and launch new programs. Clients have included the American Red Cross, American Library Asssociation, Covenant House, Children's National Medical Center, Fox Chase Cancer Center, National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund and Paralyzed Veterans of America, just to name some of them.
Christa Lewis is a fundraising professional currently working for The Nature Conservancy's Maryland/DC chapter. Working to advance donor's relationships with the Conservancy, Mrs. Lewis has secured gifts that established a new nature preserve, helped support the Conservancy's innovative science, and secured a wide-range of estate gifts. Prior to working for the Conservancy, she lead the fundraising efforts at Sea Island Habitat for Humanity, the third oldest Habitat affiliate in the world.
Julie is the Program Manager for Serving Together, a program of EveryMind that is dedicated to creating a more coordinated system of care and easier access to services for military, veterans and their families. Julie holds a BA in English from San Jose State University and is the proud wife of a United States Naval Petty Officer.
